We believe it’s time to update our cafe with new art, and who better to turn to than our very own community of talented artists?
Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 8th from 19:00 to 21:00, as we proudly present the first edition of our stunning quarterly art exhibition to introduce local artists and their artworks.
What to expect?
- Exposition opening: Two local artists, Iris van den Akker & Konstantin Sonnenkind, will open the exposition with a showcase of their work. They will tell you something about the creation process and the story behind their work. It’s also possible to support them and buy their art 🙂
- Drinks & Bites: No celebration is complete without a little drink & bite! Our bar & kitchen will be open for the whole exposition.
Who are the artists?
Iris van den Akker
Iris van den Akker (Amsterdam West) is an illustrator, 2D animator, enthusiastic art collector and overall supporter of creative women. She loves colorful, graphic images that take reality with a grain of salt. Iris works mainly for ad agencies, magazines, animation studios and publishers, but has also created work for architecture festivals, international popstars, tiny house communities and design retreats.

Konstantin Sonnenkind
Meet Konstantin, the Amsterdam(West)-based photographer, seizing music moments both in the Netherlands and across Europe. From Kaytranada to Puma Blue, he captures the electric atmosphere of their performances. Keeping a close eye on rising talents like Michael Ekow and Yung Dada, he visualizes their artistic journeys. With The Gang Is Beautiful, he collaborates to push boundaries in fashion and the art scene.
