We’re excited to refresh our café with vibrant new artwork sourced directly from our community. Save the date for Thursday, July 4th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, as we kick off the inaugural edition of our quarterly art exhibition, highlighting local artists and their creations.

What can you look forward to?

Exhibition Opening: We’ll begin with a captivating showcase by two local artists (details below), offering insights into their creative process and the inspiration behind their pieces. Don’t miss the opportunity to show your support by purchasing their artwork.
Refreshments: No gathering is complete without refreshments! Our bar and kitchen will be open throughout the exhibition for you to enjoy drinks and bites while exploring the artwork on display.

Who are the artists and their works?

Out of the Mundane

These are everyday situations, but they seem alienated and create a mysterious and desolate image.

It seems as if we are watching fragments of a dream or a fictional film.

Unearthly images that are not staged or edited. But observations in the public space of Amsterdam.
If we pass by them every day, they are not noticeable. An alternative view of the city that you rarely see.
He notices them, prints and dreams away.

Kolenkitbuurt resident and photographer Alexander Moerland (1984) mainly photographs in Amsterdam West.

Special situations in everyday life, observations that fuel his creativity.
Creating and expressing these observations gives him serenity, inspiration & life satisfaction.

Lara-Leh Bogaard (1990) is an artist and visual arts teacher (graduated in 2016 from the Amsterdam University of the Arts) and is based in the Bos en Lommer district of Amsterdam. She takes photos and paintings and sometimes spreads both disciplines. Her work is personal and she draws inspiration from film, music videos, nature and architecture.
